On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, 25 students from the Fifth level of Industrial Pharmacy Module (PHT 517) embarked on a visit to the EIPICO Pharmaceutical Company factory. This educational excursion, under the guidance of Dr. Nada El Hoffy, aligns seamlessly with the course specifications, emphasizing a hands-on and practical application of the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom.
The visit kicked off with an informative lecture, providing students with insights into the various departments of the factory and its historical significance. A dedicated pharmacist, responsible for manufacturing tasks, guided the students through the production area. This included a comprehensive introduction to the machinery involved in producing medicines, spanning different dosage forms such as tablets, syrups, and more.
The students gained valuable exposure to the intricate processes of packaging, witnessing firsthand the mechanisms employed for each dosage form. The tour continued to the quality control and quality assurance laboratories, where students were acquainted with the meticulous steps and analyses conducted to ensure the quality and saengineeringy of the pharmaceuticals manufactured.
This experiential approach not only complements the course's teaching methods but also serves as a bridge between classroom learning and real-world applications. The visit to EIPICO Pharmaceutical Company offered students a unique opportunity to witness the practical implications of their theoretical knowledge, fostering a deeper understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. We extend our gratitude to Dr. Nada El Hoffy and EIPICO Pharmaceutical Company for facilitating this invaluable learning experience for our students.
