Overview
Field (Summer) Training is a mandatory graduation requirement designed to equip pharmacy students with practical skills and professional competencies. To fulfill this requirement, students in levels 3, 4, and 5 must complete 100 hours of supervised training at approved practice sites.
Eligible Sites
Community and hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, factories, and other healthcare institutions.
How It Works?
- Training opportunities are announced via the Faculty's Moodle platform
- Students register through the official student portal
- Training sites communicate directly with students regarding schedules and requirements
Assessment
Students are evaluated by their preceptor on a 1–4 scale across key competencies — a minimum score of 3 (Competent) is required. Assessment includes a daily logbook, a grading rubric, a completion certificate, and a final academic supervisor review.
Preceptor Standards
Preceptors must be licensed pharmacists or healthcare professionals with at least 2 years of relevant experience, committed to direct student supervision and performance documentation.
Quality Assurance
The program is continuously evaluated through feedback from students, academic supervisors, and preceptors to ensure ongoing improvement.
