Attendance Regulations:

  • The attendance of classes and labs is essential because students benefit from lectures and discussions with professors and classmates. Students should attend regularly to avoid any negative impact on their grades.
  • In case of being absent at one of the semester tests without an acceptable excuse, students shall not be given another opportunity to take that test again.
  • If a student is absent for 25% or less from attending a course, the student may withdraw from the course. If a student's absence exceeds 25%, the student shall not be allowed to withdraw, attend lectures, or attend final exams and will receive an F for the course. The student shall receive at least one warning before being forced to withdraw.
  • In very rare cases, students who are unable to complete a course may be permitted to continue work in that course beyond the examination period. Any professor submitting an incomplete grade must supplement this submission with a form to the Dean's Office, giving the following information:
    • The Reasons for the not completing the work.
    • The material which is incomplete.
    • Actions needed to complete the course work.
  • In such a cases, grades “I”, for 'incomplete' is assigned. The students must make arrangements with their professors to complete the course within one month after the beginning of the new academic session. Failure to do this shall result in a grade F being assigned for that course.
  • If any students have more than one incomplete grade, the credit hours for the incomplete grades will be included in their academic load for the following semester.

Graduation Regulations:

  • For a student to be graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, his or her CGPA should be at least 2.0.

Calculating Graduation Honors:

CGPA Grade Honors
≥ 3.7 Excellent High Honors
3-3.6 Very Good 2nd Class Honors
2-2.9 Good
  • To be granted an honors degree, student shall not have obtained any F in any of the studied modules.

Assessment Regulations

  • Students are not allowed into examination halls without their university ID.
  • Students are not allowed into examination halls unless their names are listed on the attendance lists displayed at the hall's entrances.
  • Students are not allowed into examination halls after thirty minutes have elapsed from the start of the examination.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the examination hall until half of the examination time has elapsed.
  • No communication is permitted between students during examinations.
  • Cell phones are not permitted in the examination halls. In the case of any contravention of this, the student’s examination results shall be subject to cancellation.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the examination halls.
  • Any tools or papers, not officially required for the examination, are not allowed into the examination halls.
