Implementing the vision of cooperation with the Labor market partners in the medical and industrial field, the Faculty of Pharmacy hold a mini conference titled Nutrition Diversity for Better Lifestyle Mini-Conference, on Wednesday 14/12/2022 at the FUE Campus in cooperation with Teacher’s New Heart Hospital and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Company.
Prof. Dr. Ebada Sarhan, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hanan Refaat, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, gave an opening speech at the beginning of the conference.
Dr. Ahmed Essam, head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, Teachers’ Hospital, gave a lecture entitled (Nutrition Diversity for Pharmacy Graduates) and Dr. Olfat Abdel Halim, Clinical Pharmacy Consultant at the Police Hospitals, gave a lecture entitled (Nutrition Plan for Diabetic Patients).
Dr. Samah Ezzat and Dr. Iman Al-Naqiti, Clinical Consultants at Teachers’ Hospital, gave a lecture entitled (Nutrition Implementation in ICU).
Dr. Mai Sleem, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, presented a lecture entitled (Proper Nutrition for Brain Health).
Dr. Osama Al-Dahshan gave an introductory speech about the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Company, and many students participated and applied to learn more about the company.
Finally, Prof. Dr. Nabila Al-Maraghy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, presented a concluding speech at the end of the conference, and many of the attendees thanked the organizers for the informative conference with this honorable organization.
Many students from Faculty of Pharmacy and the different Faculties of the University attended the sessions to gain benefits from the content of the lectures to apply it in their practical and scientific career pathway. In addition, guest attendees from different fields joined the mini-conference.
