Title: Hepatitis C Awareness Campaign

Location: Midan Is-Sa’ea and at the beginning of Abbas El-Aakad Street
Number of Participants: 13 students
Event Details:
• Some members of EPSF in association with members of the Executive Board of EPSF attended the event; in turn, they assumed the responsibility of increasing the numbers of those who are aware of the hazards of this merciless epidemic.
• At the outset of the meeting held in Nasr City, the members of EPSF’s Executive Board started by sharing advice regarding how to best create awareness among the public, while emphasizing the responsibility of pharmacists to promote awareness and saengineeringy measures. The members of the Executive Board proceeded to distribute material and flyers with simplified explanation which can be easily understood by the public. The distributed information revolved around the dangers of Virus C and how it spreads as well as the measures that may be taken to face the virus and teat it.
• The awareness campaign conducted entailed walking the streets and speaking with by-passers, drivers, shop assistants, restaurant and shop personnel, etc. … Their conversations included information on how the disease is contracted, the importance of ensuring the use of dental utensils and equipment that are not contaminated, syringes, etc. … explaining that the reason for these warning is that Virus C is contracted through the blood.
The day’s event ended by taking a group photograph of all those who participated in making this event possible.
