The study of the chemical structures, nomenclatures, synthesis, interactions with the receptor sites, Structure Activity Relationships and the metabolic pathways of different chemical classes of various medicinal active agents including Antibiotics, Anti-infective, anthelmintics, Antifungal drugs, Anticancer drugs, hormones and others chemotherapeutic agents,. The practical course is designed to expose the student to various synthetic and purification techniques in medicinal chemistry.
