Pharmacology-1

This course is the mainstay of all related forthcoming courses including pharmacology II, clinical pharmacology, clinical pharmacy, basic and clinical toxicology and drug abuse. The course offers knowledge about types of drugs, different routes of administration, pharmacokinetics; absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination and pharmacodynamics; drug effects, receptor families, agonists and antagonists, drug interactions, contraindications and side effects. It also provides information about the pharmacology of autocoids.
