The course emphasizes the basic principles of host parasite relationship, factors of pathogenicity and virulence, the role of human immune system in health and disease. Factors involved in host response to foreign antigens and detection of disease based on antigen antibody reactions using various immunological methods. The course covers areas of relevant clinical-pathological interest, ranging from immune-hematology, lymphoid and neoplasms, to transplantation immunology (both solid organ and bone marrow transplantation ), congenital immunedeficiencies, and immunopathogenesis of infectious diseases (including HIV,HBV, HCV, TB, etc.) vaccinology, cancer immunology, and immunotherapy.
