Future University in Egypt Hosts Industrial Workshop on Vaccine Manufacturing in Collaboration with VACSERA and Africa CDC
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Future University in Egypt, under the Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Affairs, successfully hosted an Industrial Workshop in Vaccine Manufacturing on February 10th, 2026. The workshop was organized in collaboration with VACSERA and Africa CDC as part of the EVMA_RCCN initiative, contributing to capacity building and knowledge sharing across North Africa. The workshop featured expert-led sessions highlighting Egypt’s collaborative efforts in biomanufacturing localization and pharmaceutical capacity building in Africa. Dr. Dalia Mohamed, alongside the VACSERA team, presented the company’s century-long expertise and capabilities in vaccine manufacturing. In coordination with Prof. Dr. Azza Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Future University team delivered comprehensive sessions on reverse vaccinology through genomics and bioinformatics, mRNA therapy from bench to bedside, and model-informed vaccine and biopharmaceutical development. These sessions bridged academic research with industrial applications, emphasizing practical skills and innovative approaches in modern biomanufacturing. The workshop provided an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration between academic institutions and industry partners. Participants explored opportunities aligned with Egypt’s and Africa’s vision for the localization of pharmaceutical and biological products, strengthening regional capabilities in vaccine production. Sincere appreciation is extended to all speakers, organizers, and participants whose efforts contributed to the success of this impactful workshop.

Future University in Egypt Hosts Scientific Session Exploring the Neurochemistry of Human Attachment
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Future University in Egypt (FUE) proudly organized a scientific interactive session titled “Decoding Human Attachment: Where Pharmacology Meets Neuropsychology” on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the University Theater. The event brought together approximately 120 faculty members and students, creating a vibrant academic environment dedicated to exploring the scientific foundations of human emotions and interpersonal bonding. The session focused on examining human attachment and emotional connection from a pharmacological and neuropsychological perspective, emphasizing the biological and chemical processes that shape human behavior. Through an evidence-based scientific approach, the session explored love and emotional bonding as complex biological phenomena driven by intricate neurochemical interactions involving neurotransmitters, hormones, and neural pathways. These insights directly relate to the academic disciplines studied by pharmacy students, highlighting the interdisciplinary connections between pharmacology, neuroscience, and psychology. The session featured engaging and interactive lectures delivered by distinguished academics, including Prof. Hanan Al-Abhar, Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy and a scholar recognized among Stanford University’s World’s Top Scientists, and Dr. Mai Selim, Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Biochemistry. The speakers provided valuable insights into the biological mechanisms underlying emotional attachment, fostering thoughtful discussion and encouraging students to view pharmacology within a broader scientific and human context. The event witnessed high levels of engagement and interaction from attendees, reflecting the strong interest among students and faculty members in interdisciplinary scientific topics. The session successfully contributed to enriching scientific knowledge and promoting academic dialogue within the university community. This initiative reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy’s ongoing commitment to advancing scientific awareness, encouraging intellectual curiosity, and connecting pharmaceutical sciences with real-world human experiences.
